Im Reiseteil der FAZ vom Sonntag, den 11.10.2026 wird an Hand eines konkreten Falls aus Montreal berichtet, dass Booking seit einiger Zeit Probleme mit Fake-Inseraten habe. Es würden komfortabele Unterkünfte gerade in touristischen Regionen vermittelt, die gar nicht existieren würden.
Dass diese Fake-Unterkünfte tatsächlich nicht existieren, wurde mir persönlich vom einem Kollegen des Reiserechts während eines Kongresses in Paris berichtet. Auf einem kleinen Schild an der Klingel der Haustür wurde gewarnt: „Unterkunft existiert nicht! Fake im Internet.“
